Our beliefs shape everything.
It's how we think, act, speak, and love one another. It's how we raise our families, love our community, and seek the good of others before ourselves. Here's what makes Chapel Hill unique.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe in His deity. We believe He is the only one who can save and reconcile us to God. Jesus promises eternal life to all who believe in Him for it. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory over death and to empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again for His church as He promised.
God
We believe in one eternally existing God who has revealed Himself to man in three persons: God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things. He is totally loving and completely holy.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. In it, we have everything we need for life and godliness.
The Separation
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We are born in sin because of our first father Adam, and through his fall, we all inherited the curse of death and eternal separation from God.
The Reconciliation
Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, and then died on the cross on our behalf as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Belief in Jesus guarantees the forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God. As followers of Christ, we must repent of any sin in our lives and commit to His will for our lives as we obey all that He commands.
The Church
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together as we are instructed in the Scriptures. The church is where we have a family of families, living in obedience to Christ. We do this by learning from His word, singing praises to Him, and praying with and for each other, bearing one another's burdens.
